THERE’S ROOM FOR YOU HERE
Most of us gather in #lobby, where conversation can go just about anywhere: how your day went, something you watched, a song you can’t stop playing, or whatever’s on your mind. You don’t need a technical question to belong here.
There are also rooms for Linux, retro tech, music, self-hosting, and projects when you want to get into something specific. In IRC, a channel is simply a chat room. Type /list to find one, or ask in #lobby and someone can point you in the right direction.
For conversations you can return to tomorrow, there’s the forum. Share a story, start a discussion, or keep a record of something you’re making. Participation can be as simple as saying hello or helping the next new person feel welcome.
